Be Yew, named after the Yew Tree was created by Dani Palacio.  The
group was formed in mid-August 2006.  The group is designed for
women supporting women through listening, sharing, and co-creating.
There are so many of us that need and/or want a scared space to share
our ideas, our frustrations, our fears and our inspiration so we can build
our businesses and attract the perfect clients.
    Original Yew Tree:

Symbolism: the Tree of Life, Immortality, rebirth, protection
Divine Associations: The Great Goddess (Neolithic); Dione (pre-Greek),
Artemis (Phrygian and ancient Greek); Persephone, Hecate (ancient
    Greek), Astarte (Syrian); Odin (Norse)
    Astrological Associations: Saturn and Pluto
The yew's reputation for long life is due to the unique way in
which the tree grows. Its branches grow down into the ground
to form new stems, which then rise up around the old central
growth as separate but linked trunks. After a time, they cannot
be distinguished from the original tree. So the yew has always
been a symbol of death and rebirth, the new that springs out of
the old, and a fitting tree for us to study at the beginning of this
new year. As the days now grow longer with the beginning of a
new solar cycle, we move into the future on the achievements
of the past, new creativity springs forth grounded in the
accomplishments of " the year gone by.  (on a personal note, I
find this to be a perfect representation of the surrender to one's
calling and the birth and creativity this is found in living our
dreams.  It's a strong tree that lives longer then most other
living things on this earth.  It has sacred meaning and is found
in every culture as a powerful symbol of Life.)
